Our heavy bag classes are real fat burners that bring all the athletic characteristics of Boxing and Kickboxing, without getting punched or kicked in the face. In other words zero-contact boxing.

Who can join our fundamental classes?

Heavy bag classes, also called cardio (kick)boxing can be joined by everyone who wish to improve their fitness. As their name suggests, there is no contact in our heavy bag sessions, so it’s a great way to stay in shape without having to fight and get injured. Our heavy bag sessions are perfect for:
The people who want to discover boxing and kickboxing without contact
Those who wish to work on their cardio
Anyone that wants to lose weight fast
People who need to release stress
Boxers and kickboxers that want to keep up their stamina 

What do you learn during heavy bag classes?

Even if you are just joining our heavy bag classes for fitness purposes, we remain Boxing and Kickboxing specialists at heart. We will therefore teach you:
How to punch and kick with good technique
How to improve your power to burn more calories
How to integrate footwork on the bag
How to reach your limits and find mental strength you did not expect

What you need to join our heavy bag classes / cardio boxing classes

Our fitboxing classes are specifically designed for beginners. You can therefore join us with a  comfortable sport outfit.

You can borrow at the gym the main equipment required for the lessons:
Boxing gloves for Rp25.000,-
Shin pads for Rp20.000,-
Hand wraps for Rp10.000,-
No shin pads or mouth guards are required for our cardio (kick)boxing sessions. However you can choose to wear shin pads if you want more cushioning on your shins during heavy-bags session.

Price to join our cardio boxing / heavy bag classes

If you are not a member, you can join us for a trial or drop-in session. If after your trial you are convinced that our cardio class is for you and decide to take a monthly membership, we pay you back your trial. This offer is only valid on the same day, directly after the session.

Fitboxing classes are available for drop-in and unlimited Mejiro members.

Frequently Asked Questions

How hard is a heavy bag class?

Heavy bag sessions are quite intense since you can work with full power. But don’t worry, the bag doesn’t hit you back, so you can really push it to the maximum.

Are injuries common in heavy bag classes?

Injuries can happen during a heavy bag class, but they are very uncommon. They usually occur when punching with the wrong technique, which can cause issues in your knuckles and wrists. That is why we teach you proper punching technique and movement, even if you join us just for fun with no intention to fight or even spar.

Can kids join heavy bag classes?

Yes, kids can join heavy bag classes as long as they are older than 12 years old. Below that age, our kid classes are better to learn boxing.

Why should I join you for a heavy bag class?

Join us if you want to push yourself while learning the best techniques from experienced boxers and kickboxers. Fitboxing is very useful and cross-functional regardless of the sports you practice or your fitness goals.
