Competition Kickboxing K1 & Muay Thai training

Our competition training is designed to bring you to your best self and to compete at the highest level.

Who can join our kickboxing competition training?

The competition training is specifically designed for athletes who have the desire to compete. The sessions are not open to everyone as it is much more intense than other classes and trainings. Chat with your coach to know if you can join or try. The following members can join: 
Candidates from Mejiro Gym Bali
Kickboxers with good fundamentals and stamina who want to prepare their first fight
Kickboxers who don’t necessarily want to compete now but want to train harder in order to compete when they are ready

What do you do during competition training?

The competition training is designed to sharpen your reflexes and get you fight ready. The point is therefore to bring your cardio in the red zone and to make you spar under pressure to simulate the intensity of real fights.

Here are the things that you typically do during a competition training:
Endurance HIIT circuit
Heavy bag strength training
Practice agility / mind-body coordination
Sparring

What you need to join our competition Kickboxing / Muay Thai classes

The main requirement for joining the competition training is to have solid Kickboxing fundamentals and a good physical condition. Always ask your coach if you can join.

You can borrow at the gym the main equipment required for the lessons:
Boxing gloves for Rp25.000,-
Shin pads for Rp20.000,-
Hand wraps Rp10.000,-
For the best hygiene and safety, we recommend you to purchase a mouthguard and your own equipments if you intend to join our competition training regularly.

Price to join our competition training

Competition training is free for all Regular and Unlimited Mejiro members only, provided that they are allowed or has been invited to join the training by the coaches.

How do I know if I can join the competition training?

Ask your coach to know if you can join or not the competition training.

How hard is competition training?

Competition training trains you for a fight. And a fight is not easy, it requires control, skills and endurance. So our competition sessions aren’t easy either. Expect a lot of cardio and sparring.

Can kids join the competition training?

Kids above 12 years old that have the coach's approval can join the competition training. Kids below 12 years old have their own competition training.

Can I join the competition training without fighting?

You can join the competition training if you have the coach's approval, even if you are not yet ready or available for fighting. It could be a first step to real competition, a pre-competition situation to boost your overall performance.
